Are you searching for a new hobby that will help you stay fit and allow you to become an underwater explorer? You should consider getting your open water dive ticket. This scuba diving introductory certification will allow you to start exploring new depths in the ocean; imagine snorkelling underwater for extended periods of time without the need to swim back up to the surface for air. The team at Dolphin Scuba run fast-tracked PADI open water courses which allow you to get certified in as little as two days! On Friday, you’re a snorkeler and by Monday you’re a fully qualified scuba diver. Here’s what to expect from our two-day open water course.
Become a qualified scuba diver in just two days
Our PADI Open Water Course is a beginner scuba diving course that will allow you to go scuba diving anywhere in the world up to 18m deep, just be sure to take a buddy with you. All you need to start is be in good health, have a love of the ocean, and be in reasonable shape. Dolphin Scuba’s two-day course will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving through the completion of five knowledge developments sessions and a combination of nine pool and open water dives (ocean or river). Sorry kids, you must be over 14 years old to be eligible for the course, but there are junior options available for any keen younger divers.
What to expect in your scuba diving course
For just $525, our students will receive individualised training with our qualified scuba diving instructors meaning no more than three students per instructor in the water at all times. This ensures our students receive adequate training and attention during the open water course so they are ready to stand on their own two flippers in the water at the end of the two-day course. Don’t worry, you won’t need to purchase all gear before the course either as all essential scuba equipment will be provided; however, a $50 voucher will be gifted just in case you need to stock up on any of your personal dive gear. Dolphin Scuba also provide educational materials and starter pack which includes:
- PADI Open Water Diver Manual
- Open Water DVDs
- Diver’s Log Book
- How to Use and Choose Computers Manual
- ‘Refer a Friend’ reward card
- PADI stickers
- Carry pouch
Note: at a small additional cost, you can book a day of boat diving at Rottnest Island to test the waters and put your new skills into practice!
