Rockingham Wreck Trail

This is my favourite site because it's the first place I saw a Seahorse. You are virtually guaranteed to see them here, hanging off the ropes that connect the wrecks. It's an easy site to dive, but there is always a lot of things to find, even when the visibility is not so good. I like to find the ball of catfish and the Sea Hares that hide in amongst the wrecks.

Salem Express Wreck, Safaga - Egyptian Red Sea

This is a very sad wreck to dive as so many people lost their lives there as they returned from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. It lies on its starboard side in approx. 32m of water. Now the wreck is covered in soft and hard corals and is home to thousands of tropical fish.

The dive I remember the most vividly is the one where I saw myfirst Frogfish. I had been working in the Red Sea for 3 years and had never seen one and had always wanted to find one. The Frogfish we found was huge, we nicknamed him Colin and made sure that everyone got to see him whenvever we visited the wreck. He became so famous that he was featured in a couple of diving magazines from the UK and South Africa.
