Cressi Pro Star Package

$169.00

Set with Pro Star fins, Matrix mask and Gamma Snorkel – perfect for snorkelling and freediving.

This is a futuristic fin, deriving from the Cressi deep sea skin-diving models, which introduces the use of more reactive materials also in the full foot fin sector of normal length. In fact, the blade is not made from copolymer but from exceptionally light and reactive polypropylene. This material is combined with a comfortable thermo-rubber (elastomer), used for the foot, for the side stringers and for various inserts. The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length. The side stringers extend for a good way along the blade, continuing in a protective seal around the whole edge of the blade. Two stabilizing flaps on the end of the blade, on the sole of the foot, guarantee excellent direction of the fin during kicking. The excellent, highly anatomic, computer-designed foot, guarantees optimum transmission of leg-fin thrust. The resulting cocktail is a formidable product that makes kicking easier and powerful at the same time. Pro Star, together with Reaction Pro model, is the most powerful full-foot fin in the Cressi range, except for models specifically designed for deep-sea skin diving and is an excellent choice for snorkeling, skin-diving and Scuba dives.

Following the revolutionary principles introduced by Big Eyes, the Matrix establishes new records.

The Cressi patented raked lenses and their special “inverted drop” shape has been developed even further.

The lenses are now as close as possible to the eyes, taken to the maximum levels possible.

The newly designed frame is very streamlined and ends up being completely invisible when the mask is worn.

The top part of the mask has strong grip rubber material inserts, for a great look.

The soft silicone skirt has a new profile and a broad seal ring for excellent waterproofing and comfort without precedent.

The internal volume of the mask is exceptionally low, lower than many well-known freediving masks and the weight is also very moderate.

Two pressure buckles integrated into the frame make strap adjustment quick and precise. This new design strap has a very broad purchase on the neck for magnificent comfort.

Excellent mask for snorkelling, scuba diving and skin diving.

Cressi Thor EBS Fins

$239.00

The new THOR EBS fin has a peculiar and unprecedented structure that combines the two central ribs in high modulus polypropylene, very reactive and a central area of the thermoplastic rubber with a convex section, assembled in a polypropylene blade. Two lateral nozzles located in the area where bending starts release the associated negative forces and allow the use of two high response ribs. This combination causes a channeling and acceleration of water flow, which stabilizes and increases propulsion at equal effort.

The inclination of the blade with respect to the foot pocket has increased by 5% compared to traditional diving models. This angulation provides greater efficiency and a more natural foot position during flapping.

Thor enjoys an exclusive system of injection of 3 materials patented by Cressi, which offers a combination of strength, power, comfort and aesthetics and the optimization of the requirements of each area of the fin.

Main body of polypropylene: This material, inherited from apnea fins, has as main characteristic the rapid transmission of the applied energy and its great structural rigidity. It is applied to the shovel and inner area of the sole sandwich. He is very nervous and reactive and facilitates a very agile and effective flutter. It has a stress-performance ratio clearly superior to traditional materials (natural rubber or thermoplastic, polyurethane, EVA). Also, it has a great resistance to breakage to the point that Cressi guarantees its life for sporting use:

Flexible elastomer: It is applied to the foot pocket and the areas that require flexibility and elasticity, since they influence the comfort of the diver: Footrest toe, interior of the sole and area of the instep in contact with the ankle. It is also assigned to the areas that require non-slip capacity: Inserts in the sole (area in contact with the ground) and anti-shock, such as the lateral nerves of the blade. The fusion of both materials is performed at the molecular level and its strength is guaranteed for life for sports use.

Polypropylene of the high module: Especially reactive, it is applied to the nerves of the blade and is responsible for providing rigidity and return to the blade. This material connects the critical point of transmission of energy (the instep) with the nerves in one piece, avoiding the usual loss of energy through excessively flexible components of the foot pocket that produce a heavy, slow and fatigue fluttering the instep.

It also uses several technologies common to the rest of the Cressi models.

“Shoe design under the blade”: Now increasing its angle by 5%, the blade comes directly from the top of the foot pocket, solidly joining the fin to the foot and transmitting all the effort generated by flapping without loss of energy through soft areas. This format allows the water to be channeled from the same ankle to the final edge of the blade, unlike traditional models, in which the foot pocket has no contribution to the advance. Apart from improving the directionality of the flutter, this design provides a performance between 10% and 15% higher than what would correspond to the fin for its blade surface.

Thickness of the blade of decreasing profile “spina di pesce” to improve the directionality of the flutter and achieve a greater inertia of the final part of the fin.

Foot Pocket reinforced in the upper area by a supplementary thickness and laterally by two prolongations of polypropylene from the upper to avoid the dispersion of energy in the process of transmission from the foot to the blade.

FOOT POCKET with three differentiated volumes, with the central area narrowed so that the foot remains firmly fixed inside and the transmission of the foot-paddle effort is direct and precise.

Cressi AC2/ Compact & Octopus Compact

$670.00

1st STAGE AC2:
Simple piston 1st stage, a “work mule” that is affordable, simple, reliable and robust, suitable for intense use. This first stage is appreciated by dive centers and professional companies who consider it to be a very rentable tool, due to its low cost and practically nonexistent need for maintenance, as well as a surprising level of performance. Conical filter with large filtering capacity, essential for preventing infiltration of particles from the tanks. This feature is especially important for regulators in dive schools and rental agencies. Air flow administered at 2100 l/min with an intermediate pressure drop in intensive breathing (150 bar) 0.5-0.8 bar (Measurement taken at an LP port with the second stage connected and 150 bar pressure in the tank). Exterior LP regulation via Allen key, greatly facilitates managing adjustments and technical maintenance. One 7/16” high pressure port (HP) and four 3/8” low pressure ports (LP). Complete maintenance kit which includes very affordable spare parts. Weight: Int: 615 g / DIN 480 g

2nd STAGE XS COMPACT:
New ultra simplified monocoque second stage in ABS + elastomer, small (6 cm in diameter), very light (145 g) and robust, designed and built to have a minimum number of components. It is a smart buy due to its combination of performance, reliability, price and cost of maintenance. It is perfect for uses requiring maximum reliability and is an ideal travel regulator, given its lightness together with the the 1st stage MC5. It is also perfect for dive centers, as a work regulator with AC2, and as an addition to the high range MC9. The specific calibration of the inhalation mechanism slightly changes the air delivery as compared to the Ellipse series; the feel and sensitivity of these models is exquisite, with an abundant flow without needing to exploit the Venturi effect. This feature adds a scant tendency to freeflow on the surface and when positioning the equipment in the water, ideal for schools and rentals, octopus and double regulator. Nevertheless, the performance results put it at the top of the highest range of regulators. Asymmetrical perforation in the front cap. The flow of the water starts to push the diaphragm counter-clockwise so that its retraction is perfectly flat and the cam progressively descends perpendicularly, independent of conditions (currents, brisk movements, facial position, etc.). Exhalation effort particularly reduced without having to reduce the thickness of the diaphragm. The design of the membrane retention system directs the 100% channeled flow towards the nozzles of the bow, taking advantage of a strong Venturi effect. Also, it works to direct the bubbles away from the diver’s field of vision. Embedded membrane to avoid water infiltration in case of brisk turns or jumps to enter the water. Practically integrated purge button, between 80-400% larger than that of any other regulator on the market to facilitate purging, especially for beginning divers. Cap system assembly by a 30º bayonet turn, assuring very safe and simple assembly-disassembly, also while cleaning out sand on the beach, without the need of tools. Reduced ageing due to usage thanks to the casing finish, achieved by applying a new technology in the mold that creates a variegated look on a micro-texture of rounded profiles.

Octopus XS Compact uses the same casing as the XS Compact model made from special hi-tech polymers, the only difference being the yellow front cover. All the parts of XS Compact, most of which are patented, can be found on this regulator. The performance is extremely high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the XS Compact, to prevent any self-regulating possibility when it is used as a spare regulator. Octopus XS Compact suits all the Cressi first stages perfectly and all the first stages with an intermediate pressure between 9 and 10 bar.
