To become a Master Diver you must log 50 dives and complete the following courses:

  • Open Water Diver
  • Advanced Diver
  • Rescue Diver
  • 4 x Specialty Diver courses

Once you have completed these courses the team at Dolphin Scuba will help you prepare your Master Diver application form.

Deep Diver

Become certified to dive to 40m as a Deep Diver.

Wreck Diver

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Advanced Diver (minimum age requirement – 15 years old).

 

Enriched Air Diver

Stay down longer!

WHEN: This 2 hour course is available most Sundays. Please contact us to ask about the next available times.

NUMBER OF DIVES: This is classroom based

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Open Water Diver (minimum age requirement – 15 years old).

 

Advanced Buoyancy Diver

Hone your buoyancy, trim and weighting to improve efficiency and comfort in the water.

WHEN: Dives towards this speciality can be completed most Sundays.

NUMBER OF DIVES: 2

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water Diver).

 

Boat Diver

Dive confidently from a boat!

WHEN: Join us on any of our organised boat diving trips.

NUMBER OF DIVES: 2

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water Diver).

 

Underwater Navigator

Hone your underwater navigation skills with this course.

WHEN: Dives towards this speciality can be completed most Sundays.

NUMBER OF DIVES: 3

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Advanced Diver (or Junior Advanced Diver).

 

Night Diver

Hone your underwater navigation skills with this course.

WHEN: Dives towards this speciality can be completed on the first Wednesday of the month, or more often – numbers-dependent.

NUMBER OF DIVES: 4

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Advanced Diver (or Junior Advanced Diver).

 

Dry Suit Diver

Hone your underwater navigation skills with this course.

WHEN: Dives towards this speciality can be completed most Sundays.

NUMBER OF DIVES: 2

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water Diver).

 

Equipment Specialist

Understand how dive gear works, routine care & maintenance procedures.

WHEN: Various times over winter/colder months.

NUMBER OF DIVES: This is classroom based

PREREQUISITES: You must be a certified Open Water Diver (minimum age requirement – 12 years old).

 

Underwater Photographer

Develop knowledge, skills & practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent underwater photos with your digital camera.

WHEN: On request.

NUMBER OF DIVES: Classroom + up to 2 dives (tailored to the individual)

PREREQUISITES: Can be completed by snorkelers or certified Open Water/Junior Open Water Divers.

 

Underwater Naturalist/Fish ID

Learn all about the creatures you see on your dives!

WHEN: Dives towards this speciality can be completed most Sundays.
