Whether it’s a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You’ll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.
What will I learn?
You’ll learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions.
How long will it take?
There is no diving required as part of this course – it is a classroom based workshop that usually take about 5 hours.
Prerequisites
You just need to be a certified Open Water Diver from any training agency and over the age of 12 to complete this course.
How much does the course Cost?
The cost of this course is $169 and includes tuition and certification.
Where can I go from here?
The Equipment Specialist Certification counts towards the Master Diver Rating – the highest recreational certification offered. The Master Diver Certification is earned through significant experience and scuba training, with fewer than two percent of divers achieving this level of recreational certification! Through completion of the Equipment Specialist Certification you could be one step closer to joining this elite group of divers.
