Favourite Local Dive Site: HMAS Swan Wreck
The HMAS Swan was a Naval ship that was purposely sunk in 1997 for divers. It lays at around 30 metres and is my favourite local site because you have plenty of time to explore and is one of the only wrecks in Perth that you can get to easily and frequently visit. The wreck is home to lots of marine life with something new to see every dive and can also be penetrated by those with experience.

Most Memorable Dive: The HMS Hermes is an outstanding World War 2 shipwreck located off the East Coast of Sri Lanka in around 50 metres of water. It was the world’s first purpose built aircraft carrier and sunk in 1942 after a bombing attack from the Japanese. When you dive this wreck you’ll experience an eerie feeling knowing that it sank during the time of the war. For years the wreck has been inaccessible for divers being in a civil war area and because it’s so deep - only a small amount of people have the opportunity to dive it. This is one of the most outstanding wreck dives in the world, with incredible visibility and abundant marine life such as lion fish, eels and much more.
