The Winter is all but over. Not that the slightly cooler period had a massive effect on you lot out there. Loads of stuff has been happening in the last few weeks and with the water warming up as you read this, things can only get better.

KEY BISCAYNE TRIPS 22nd and 23rd Oct

Key Biscayne trip has been rescheduled (26th Sept trip called off due to excessive swell). Next Key Biscayne trip are 22nd and 23rd October, these are already fully booked. If you were on the cancelled trip please contact the dive center to confirm which day you wish to go.

NIGHT DIVES ON THE D9
For the intrepid among you there are night dives scheduled on the D9 wreck off Rockingham for October 18th and October 25th. There are only 11 spaces available per trip so we expect it will get full quickly, let us know asap if you'd like to go. We'll arrange another date if needs be. At only $40 per person this is a great price and a great trip.

RESCUE DIVER COURSE
One of the best dive courses you will ever do, the Rescue Diver introduces you to techniques and procedures for dealing with diving emergencies AND it's great fun. Course starts with a theory session Thurday evening at 6pm on the 29th, pool dives on Saturday 1st October and open water scenarios on Sunday 2nd. You need to be CPR and First Aid qualified and have your Advanced Open Water licence. Only $325 per person.

REEF CLEAN UP
Sunday's Clean up on the18th September 05 was a great success. A group of 27 braved the murky waters of Fremantle yacht club and collected over 15 bags of rubbish (plus tyres, brooms, sheets of glass!!). Big thanks to Peaches von Pirch (click here for your very own downloadable image of Peaches) for use of the Rescue boat which was a huge help in getting the divers and the rubbish in and out of the water.
Although we have a couple of organized clean ups throughout the year, it pays to pick up bits and pieces as we go. So if you see any rubbish around and about on your dives, so the right thing and pick it up and dispose of it responsibly.

NEW INSTRUCTORS SET LOOSE
September 11th saw the release of 5 more PADI Instructors into the wild and woolly world of diving. Big congratulations to Shane Barber, Adrian Durie, Karl Lehmann, Matt Wescott and Dave Whitham. Keep an eye out for Karl in Albany and Dave in Bunbury if ever you are travelling down south.
Also our very own Nicole Mahon became a PADI IDC Staff Instructor during this IDC. As a Staff Instructor, Nicole will be able to assist on Instructor Development courses. We all know how much she likes bossing people around so now there'll be no stopping her!
We'd also like to thank Mares and Oceanic for their support during the 12 day program.
