Newsletter November 07
There are no more excuses. The sun is shining (most of the time),
and you've only got about 2 weeks before everyone goes "Cray"zy.
So if you want to have a bit more of the ocean to yourself, then
you'd better get yourself in the water over the next couple of weeks.
Of course you may want to get away from the whole Cray thing, so
we're running a Get Wrecked
Weekend down to Busselton to dive 4 Mile reef, the Jetty and
the Swan Wreck. Cost is just $275 per person including all dives,
air fills, snacks on board and accommodation. We'll be running some
specialty courses while we're down there, so if you're interested
in getting your Wreck, Deep, or Nitrox diver than let us know.
Congratulations too to David Bairstow and Levah Mavadaat who were
married in October. Both are PADI Divemasters who met while scuba
diving. Is there no end to how becoming a diver can enrich your
life
we think not!
Given that the season is just about to start in earnest, it may
be time to start thinking about getting your own scuba gear (if
you haven't already). We have an excellent Oceanic
starter pack for just $999 (that's bcd, reg, occky and gauges!!!).
This offer finishes on November 11th, but we are extending it for
newsletter subscribers. Check out the ad for more information.
Anyone else who needs a pat on the back
oh yes
Peter
Northrop, on completing his Divemaster course. Well done to Torry,
Wayne and Jasmine on becoming PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.
If you're still thinking that the water could be warmer and clearer,
then why not join us for a dive trip to somewhere exotic. In 2008
we're off to Sipadan in June from
the 1st to the 10th. A marine park just off the coast of Malaysian
Borneo, Sipadan is renowned for its turtles, deep walls and massive
schools of fish. On one dive alone I remember counting 27 turtles!!
On the return journey we'll be going via Kota Kinabalu to see the
Oran Utangs. Given the extensive logging in Malaysian Borneo, this
may be one of the last chances we have.
Spring has definitely sprung in Welshpool. The sun is shining,
the water is warming up and there are babies everywhere. Congratulations
to Myles, Brooke and Lily Ava; Rob, Miranda and Connor; Tommy, Carla
and Milan; Greg Candy and Karen. Yup
it's a fact, scuba diving
can do this for you!

A massive round of applause to the gang from Mandurah Senior College
which braved the winter waters to get their Open Water licences,
well done guys!
Last, but no least, we've started a group on Facebook,www.facebook.com.
This is one of the most popular internet sites for finding friends/colleagues
etc. So log in and join the Dolphin Scuba Diving Group as we'll
be posting info. about our upcoming dives, photos from trips, and
all the usual gossip etc.
