October 2006
Aaaah
Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner.
It's that time of year when a young man's fancy turns to thoughts
of crayfish. The conditions at the moment are wonderful, we're seeing
flat calm days, whales migrating through and good visibility all
round. In fact Tony and Jodine have recently snorkeled with a mother
and calf just off Rottnest.
CLOSING DOWN/CLEARANCE SALE!!
We here at Dolphin Scuba Diving have decided to step up our bid
for world domination. We've taken over a store in Mandurah (that
should do it!!). There's a huge Closing Down Sale from October 30th
to November 5th and you are the first guys to hear about it. So
if you want to get your hands on some bargains before the season
really kicks off then come on down to Mandurah (Unit 2/93 Pinjarra
Rd - corner of Boundary Rd) TEL 9581 2566
You'll see some new faces around the store as well. Look out for
Amanda, Andrew and Apri pictured below. (We'll start on the next
letter of the alphabet in 2007).
So don't hang about, make the most of the wonderful weather we
have. There are spaces left on our Key Biscayne Trip on the
28th, 29th (1 space only) and 30th of October.
We're off to Dunsborough from Nov 18th - 19th. The staggeringly
low price of $329 includes 2 dives on the Swan Wreck, 1 dive
Busselton Jetty, 1 dive on 4 mile reef and 2 nights
accommodation at the Dunsborough Inn. There's even a chance of seeing
whales, like Tony and Jodine did off Rottnest.
The tekkie gang had an amazing dive out at Rottnest last weekend.
40m visibility (we kid you not), monster crays and a Port Jacksons
the size of a zebra! Not that anyone was suffering from narcosis
you understand! Congratulations to Kim Woodcock, Gary Douglas and
Peter Buzzacott on sucessful completion of the TDI Extended Range
Diver Course.
If you want to get your gear ready for the massive summer season
ahead, then book onto our Equipment Specialty course. We'll be running
one at the end of this month so give us a call if you're interested
and we firm up the dates. Cost is $150 including certification.
Don't forget Truk Lagoon next year. We only have 8 spaces
left on this trip. Warm Tropical Waters, prolific marine life and
Wrecks, Wrecks, Wrecks, what more could you ask for.
Give our regular crew of Divemasters a big round of applause; they've
all just completed the PADI Assistant Instructor course. Everyone
performed really well, so we're looking forward to their Open Water
Scuba Instructor course in November.Oh and did we mention that Tony
and Jodine saw a mother and calf off Rottnest a couple of weeks
ago. (If you think you're sick of hearing about this, SO ARE WE!!!!)
David and Levah are getting married. They met at the dive shop
you know.
