December 05 Newsletter
It's Christmas !!!!
It's also meant to be summer, but someone, somewhere is having a
laugh. Just because it's cloudy, doesn't mean that the diving is
bad. The river is clear, the days are flattening out and the crays
are out there. If you haven't picked up your licence yet, we've
got applications in the shop. Check out our special "Cray Kit"
only $85 includes catch bag, loop and cray gauge.
Help the Elves.
That's right
the elves at Dolphin Scuba will be busy working
on Christmas Eve. So don't be shy, pop in and say hello to help
make their day a happy one. There may even be some fruit cake on
offer.
New Instructors
Huge pats on the back all round for our recent Instructor candidates
L to R Matt Radburnd, Marc Ruitenberg, Amanda Batchelor and Tim
Harvey. They scored extremely well during the Instructor Exam and
managed to have FUN at the same time. No mean feat.
We're
getting technical.
Callum's first group of technical divers is half-way through their
TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course. Getting
to grips with multiple cylinders and decompression stops can be
quite a handful so let's wish Ben Ferguson, Matt Young and Scott
Patrick all the best. If you want to see examples of facial twitching
then just ask them about lift bags!!
Jurien Bay Trip - 10-12 February 2006 $275

Cocos Island Trip - 13-20 July 2006 **ONLY 5 SPACES LEFT**
Only 5 places left on this trip. There's a great gang of people
going so it'll be a good one. Don't forget non-divers are welcome

Shake off that New Year Hangover with a night dive at Rottnest on
Tuesday Jan 4th. Only $55 per person.
Equipment News
We've got some great gear coming in for the New Year. Keep an eye
out for Mares' new Trilastic dive suit. No more making do with a
suit that "just" fits, you'll even be able to stuff yourself
at the Christmas table and still get into your suit. The Trilastic
is fab for all shapes and sizes. They'll be in at the beginning
of the New Year, we've all ordered one already.
Oceanic's
brilliant Atom dive computer is on special at $1500 (rrp $1886).
It's a neat, wrist-mounted, air-integrated', nitrox-compatible,
pizza-making, tap-dancing gadget. Come into the shop for a look.
(OK, I lied about the pizza-making).

Oceanic Ezi Buy - the usual minimum deposit of 20% has been
dropped for December. There is now no deposit requirement , this
represents a great way to "lay by" your gear but take
it there and then. Click
here for more details.
