FAVOURITE LOCAL DIVE SITE Crystal Palace, Rottnest Island
A great place to dive both day and night! The topography of the site consists of interesting rock formations, swim throughs and caves. Around every corner there is something exciting to see, the marine life is fantastic including some of the largest cuttlefish and schools of fish I have ever seen! The best part about the site is watching the bubbles rise through the holes in the rocks as other divers swim under them, the light catches the bubbles and it looks like crystals in the water, hence the name of the site!

Most Memorable dive: Northern Arch, Poor Knights Islands, New Zealand
The most memorable dive for me was a very cold but fantastic one! A vertical slot 37metres deep at its deepest point, packed with schools of blue maomao, pink maomao and trevally, even large king fish and stingrays swimming through. The wall of the arch is fascinating, covered in colorful sponges and anemones, and if you look really closely you’ll even see crayfish and moray eels. When I first entered the archway I couldn’t believe my eyes! It was like swimming in an aquarium, 25-30m visibility and so many places to look at once. Definitely on the list of places to dive again!
