Built to US military specifications, the HID 200 pipped both Green Force and Treble-light to the winning post in producing the brightest light, although it would have been hard to see the difference in performance without accurate measuring equipment. The battery pack, which is supplied as an umbilical lamp, is not lightweight but on the plus side it means you can remove some lead from your belt. This is a fantastic light for deep wreck diving, and it has a generous burn time that can be almost doubled if the power output is reduced by using the integrated rotating switch. There is an LED battery capacity indicator and the torch is fitted with battery protection cut-off. The quick-release clamp supplied makes it extremely easy to attach and disconnect from your cylinder.
